I love being booked for hair and makeup at The Tythe Barn, Launton. It is separated from my home only by the airfield of Bicester Heritage! They have a super bridal suite which makes makeup at The Tythe Barn, Launton incredibly easy. It makes a fabulous space to prepare for your ceremony. You can read my thoughts about it here.
Golnar booked me for her wedding and asked me to provide makeup at The Tythe Barn, Launton for her, her mum and her bridesmaids. We had a fabulous morning getting ready. The lovely Mark Lord was on photography duty.
Golnar chose a gorgeous look for her wedding. These images are from her trial as we ran out of time to take some shots on the day!
We used Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita eye palette on Golnar’s gorgeous eyes, with a strong eyeliner. As she has lovely dark hair and a deeper skin tone, we could turn up the drama without it seeming overwhelming. I used short individual lashes with a few medium length ones too for some added fullness. Read more about my amazing eyelashes and why you need them for your wedding makeup here.
Golnar wanted her skin to look like skin; dewy but not shiny and with decent coverage. We used Hourglass The Veil Primer with Boots No.7 Perfect Skin foundation. Do try it – its as good as many of its more expensive contemporaries. It is good for all skin types bar oily. I also used my favourite Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette and Hourglass Blusher in Luminous Flush to give Golnar that amazing bridal glow.
Finally we used a mix on products on her lips. I used a very thin layer of Mac Cosmetics Lip Liner in Burgundy to give Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Amazing Grace some additional depth.
