Ooh we are so lucky to have some A-mazing Oxfordshire countryside wedding venues. Many of them are only half an hour or so from my home. Here are some of my favourite Oxfordshire countryside wedding venues. They are all only about an hours drive from London too.
This super, family run Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue is in the next village from my home. I am really pleased to be a recommended supplier there. They have a fabulous permanent marquee in the grounds and can accommodate weddings for up to 350 guests. A wonderful family home, run by siblings Esmond and Natalie, who grew up there. Te place is steeped in history (ask them about the special role the house played in breaking the Enigma code!). This Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue is especially good at hosting Asian weddings. The three south facing reception rooms have THE most gorgeous view over the Oxfordshire countryside. I love this image from a recent Poundon House shoot of which I was part.

One word – gorgeous!! You can see why photography @davidbostock won awards for this photo taken on our beautiful oak staircase. This is just one of lots of stunning images he captured for local #bridalboutique @elliesanderson @charlie_brear with hair and makeup by local artist @maxinewilsonbridalhmua what I love most, apart from the lighting etc are the bare feet! – – – – – #elliesanderson #davidbostock #bridalfashionshoot #luxebridal #bridalwear #weddingphotography #fineartphotography #bridalphotoshoot #bridalphotography #luxurywedding #awardwinningphotographers #ukweddings #instawed #bride #relaxedbride #blackandwhitephotography #blackandwhiteweddingphotography #designerweddingdress #charliebrear
Though not technically an Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue (its *just* over the border into Buckinghamshire) it is so amazing, I couldn’t help but share it! Its another Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue at which I am very proud to be a recommended supplier. It is sensational! In term time it is a boarding school, so its only available for weddings in the holidays but it is worth waiting for! You can get married on the portico, overlooking the incredible Capability Brown landscape – or at one of the temples in the grounds!
This fabulous Oxfordshire Countryside wedding venue needs no introduction… its the home of the floating giraffe that you see all over instagram! Licensed for civil ceremonies, the parish church is also next door if you had your heart set on a church wedding. It’s one of THE coolest Oxfordshire countryside wedding venues around. Plus, with 28 bedrooms, you and all your wedding party can be accommodated in style. The owner, James, was the founder of Fantazia back in the 1990s so he knows how to throw a bloody good party. His wife, Sophie, is one of those women who are just effortlessly stylish and she has a perfect eye, so the spaces are expertly curated. If I were to get married again, I would be holding it here. PS they have just reintroduced white hart deer to the park!
This Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue was built with entertaining in mind and the state rooms are perfect for a modern wedding. Opening up onto a fabulous terrace overlooking the grounds, this family owned venue was completely renovated in 2018 to its former glory. There is also a bridal suite and four bedrooms for your nearest and dearest. My gorgeous Kirtlington Park bride, Emma is featured in the image below.
Hedsor is, quite simply, one of the most sensational oxfordshire countryside wedding venues. A private country house which has possibly my absolute favourite bridal suite ever. EVER! The grounds are spectacular and your venue will look fabulous in all your shots. Cliveden is also just down the road for early bridal prep and that all important night before.
This privately owned Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue is set within a 2000 acre estate. Its in one of the loveliest parts of the cotswolds, off the beaten tourist track. It is exquisite and refined, with each event being designed bespoke for the couple. It is never open to the public but is available for a limited number of weddings each year.
Where Meghan Markle had her hen party… this is either going to make you really want to get married here or not! Painfully cool yet accessible, this amazing space is the Oxfordshire countryside wedding venue outpost of the Soho House group. The event spaces are rustic yet modern and fabulous. Whenever I am there I feel cooler by association – and you never know who you will bump into… my lips are sealed!
