Eek! Just a month to go until your wedding! It’s never too late to start looking after your skin – read about my top Bridal Skincare Tips and products here. Make sure you’re still following your daily skin care routine, now isn’t the time to skimp on it!
If you need a kick start to your bridal skincare, or are struggling to deal with stubborn issues such as redness or dry skin, then a great facial tailored to your skin type and issues is a great place to start. Ask around for local recommendations, but my absolute favourite place is the Bamford Haybarn Spa at Daylesford Farm. Incredibly restful and with a holistic approach, the staff are very highly trained and will be pleased to give you tailored advice to make sure that the treatment is going to achieve your goals.
Take some time to make or confirm any bridal skincare and beauty appointments; nails, brows, waxing! A brilliant manicure and pedicure a couple of days ahead of the wedding is a must in my book. I recommend that you go for gels rather than a regular nail polish as it is much harder wearing and should last for your honeymoon too. Don’t be afraid to go for something other than classic bridal nudes – though these always look brilliant. Reds and burgundies look amazing and draw attention to your hands, which will be the focus of the ceremony with your bouquet and rings.
However, now is not the time to try out any new treatments. I have had too many brides in tears on the phone after a disastrous treatment! Even a different therapist can cause an unexpected reaction so book in with your usual girls. In the event that something does go wrong, speak to your therapist for advice immediately that you realise. Also ask your HMUA, it won’t be anything we won’t have seen before, promise.
Make sure to get plenty of sleep and rest (I know you will have a to do list as long as your arm!) and look forward to your special day. Spend time with your nearest and dearest and enjoy the run up!
